Ada Information Empowerment Program

Yuan Ze University, in order to give back to the local community and enhance the quality of information education in primary and secondary schools in line with the 12-year national education program in the field of technology, has designed the "Ada Information Empowerment Program" through the Student Affairs Office. The term "Ada" is taken from the name of the poet George Gordon Byron's daughter, Ada Lovelace (1815-1852), who is recognized as the world's first programmer. This project is named after Ada to highlight her contributions to information technology and her historical significance.

Starting in 2023, the Ada Program will be managed by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at our university and will continue to expand its scope. The Ada Program encompasses four major areas, including "Ada Youth Information Enhancement," "Ada Teacher Information Development," "Ada Generational Information Co-Learning," and "Ada Information Empowerment Platform." It aims to develop "critical thinking" and "computational thinking" as its foundation, with critical thinking being the "essence" and computational thinking being the "application." The synergy between these two aspects strengthens independent learning, with the goal of integrating learning and application. In the face of a rapidly changing future society, it aims to build the ability of young people to solve complex problems, collectively striving to enhance the information literacy and digital technology intelligence of the entire population, promote talent development, facilitate resource sharing, and inspire both teachers and students to enhance their capabilities together, thereby fulfilling the university's social responsibility.
